HFP Youth Ministry incorporates the eight components of Catholic youth ministry: advocacy, catechesis, community life, evangelization, justice and service, leadership development, pastoral care, and prayer and worship. Through our youth ministry offerings, we hope to empower our young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today by drawing them to responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic faith community.
At the core of our youth ministry offerings is youth group. Our time together typically includes time for community building, active learning, and prayer. Youth group meets four times a year, with the location rotating among the church sites or around the communities.
HFP youth also attend regional and archdiocesan events, such as youth rallies, institutes, justice and service projects, and retreats. Many have also attended the National Catholic Youth Conference, a gathering of over 20,000 Catholic youth from across the country which is held every two years in various locations across the United States.
